Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Academic Instructor to join our team at Career Systems Development Corporation. As an Academic Instructor, you will be responsible for conducting and managing academic classes, helping students achieve educational goals, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage academic classes.
• Help students achieve TABE gains, attainment in subject areas, and/or HSD/HSE obtainment.
• Promote a positive atmosphere and maintain discipline in the classroom.
• Utilize provided curriculum resources and develop educational learning plans.
• Track student performance and achievement.
• Prepare reports, evaluations, and necessary documentation.
• Assist in property inventory and follow security measures.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and certification to teach in the state.
• Preferred one year of teaching experience with disadvantaged youth.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and motivational skills.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently: Sitting, standing, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Occasionally: Walking, bending, stooping, squatting, flexibility.
• Seldom: Climbing, lifting 50 pounds, carrying, kneeling, pushing/pulling, running, driving.

Environmental Demands:

• Ability to operate office equipment.
• Occasionally works alone, but mostly interacts with the team and other departments.
• Ability to read and write at a college level.
