Job Description

POAH Communities, a mission-driven property management firm, is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Assistant Property Manager. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing staff and overseeing day-to-day operations in affordable multifamily and senior housing communities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with HUD and state housing agency regulations.
  • Oversee safety and health regulations for residents and employees.
  • Manage property maintenance programs, marketing, leasing activities, and tenant certifications.
  • Maintain awareness of Federal, State, and Local laws.

Requirements

  • Experience with government-assisted and subsidized housing programs.
  • Certifications as a Tax Credit Specialist and/or Certified Occupancy Specialist.
  • Strong communication and computer skills, familiarity with Yardi software is a plus.
  • Ability to create a harmonious atmosphere and work collaboratively in a team setting.
