Assistant Property Manager - part time

Job Description

We are currently hiring for the role of Assistant Property Manager on a part-time basis at SHP Management Corp. The Assistant Property Manager provides crucial clerical support for property administration and works closely with the Property Manager. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in Affordable Housing, specifically Tax Credit properties. This position offers a 24-hour workweek with flexibility. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is included!

Responsibilities

  • Recommend and facilitate the eviction process when necessary and approved.
  • Collect and record rent payments, managing delinquencies effectively.
  • Assist in bidding out work to contractors as required and approved.
  • Prepare necessary records, files, and reports for the property and state agencies.
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs promptly.
  • Conduct unit inspections as needed and address tenant complaints promptly.
  • Handle all clerical duties associated with the role.

Qualifications: Skills & Abilities

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience with Project-based Section 8 or tax credits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Real Page, YARDI, or other property management software.
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and capable of meeting deadlines.

Physical Abilities

The role involves various physical tasks including lifting, carrying, walking, sitting, handling/fingering, and more.

Compensation

Hourly wage range: $22-24.
