Authorizations / Referrals Coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for an Authorizations / Referrals Coordinator to join PedIM Healthcare, a leading medical practice providing exceptional care to adult and pediatric patients. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for processing referrals and obtaining authorizations from insurance companies in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for provided services.
• Obtain all necessary referrals and authorizations from payers.
• Resolve patient and payer inquiries promptly and respectfully.
• Ensure timely completion and recording of all authorizations to prevent scheduling conflicts.
• Report authorization issues promptly to management to prevent procedure delays.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Perform other assigned duties while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED as minimum education requirement.
• Preferred experience in insurance, verification, or customer service.
• Clean background check required.

Compensation

Salary: $15-$17 per hour
