Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated BHUCC Nurse to join our team at Helen Ross McNabb Center. As a BHUCC Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing medical care to clients on our Behavioral Health Urgent Care Unit. Responsibilities

  • Assist with crisis interventions and medical emergencies, including obtaining vital signs and administering detox medication per protocol.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care transitions for clients.
  • Complete nursing assessments, intake procedures, and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Administer medications, obtain lab tests, and provide wound care as needed.
  • Participate in team-building activities, orientations, and training sessions to uphold a positive work environment.

Qualifications

  • LPN with a current Tennessee license, preferably with experience in psychiatric and substance abuse treatment settings.
  • Sound knowledge of psychiatric medications, treatment modalities, and crisis interventions.
  • Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 250 lbs, and implementing de-escalation techniques.
