Brief Description:

The Business Development Manager at BluSky is responsible for cultivating new business opportunities by establishing connections with potential customers within their vertical in the defined area. Key duties involve both internal and external sales activities such as networking, lead generation, social media engagement, and active participation in industry associations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Focus on business development and diversified business mix.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects.
  • Generate and pursue high-potential leads.
  • Maintain profitable average job margins.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Prioritize regional responsibilities for enhanced business outcomes.
  • Expand existing relationships to boost lead generation and job size.
  • Identify, approach, and convert new prospects for BluSky.
  • Utilize the BluSky CRM system for managing target lists.
  • Engage actively in relevant associations, aiming for leadership roles.
  • Support overall sales efforts by promptly following up on leads.
  • Create and deliver compelling sales proposals.
  • Achieve individual sales targets through diverse client interactions.
  • Record all leads and business activities meticulously in SalesForce.

Marketing:

  • Collaborate on association involvement strategies and budgets with leadership.
  • Represent BluSky effectively in industry events like tradeshows and golf tournaments.
  • Organize and participate in marketing functions and social activities to boost brand visibility.

General Responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in BluSky's services and terminology.
  • Adhere to company standards and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Contribute positively to the organization's culture and community.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience; restoration industry exposure preferable.
  • Frequent attendance at networking events required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software usage.
  • Valid driver's license essential.
  • Must possess a proactive, team-oriented, and results-focused attitude.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Job Demands:

The job may involve occasional lifting and moving up to 25 pounds. Daily activities include sitting, use of hands, reaching, talking, and walking. Some local and out-of-area travel may be required.
