Job Description
We are seeking a PART-TIME Seadog Captain to join our team at Hornblower - City Experiences in Chicago, IL. The successful candidate will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody our RESPECT Service System. As a Captain, you will greet and ensure the safety, quality, and satisfaction of all guests, while maintaining profitability.
Responsibilities
- Rotate as cruise captain and ensure adherence to procedures detailed in the Product Management Guide.
- Gather cruise event details to fulfill special guest requests and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Conduct pre-cruise meetings and communicate necessary information to the crew.
- Ensure safety standards, participate in the Safety Program, and maintain ship systems.
- Recruit, train, and manage operations team members.
- Resolve guest problems and oversee safety programs.
- Complete shift records, incident reports, and payroll administration.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid 100 ton license with a satisfactory record.
- Minimum of five years marine experience, including two years as a captain.
- Detailed knowledge of ship systems and Coast Guard procedures.
- Effective communication skills and ability to deal with guests and staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
