Job Description

We are currently looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join Minds Matter, LLC in the Topeka Region. As a vital member of our team, you will assist individuals in regaining the physical, perceptual, and cognitive skills necessary to perform daily activities. Join us in helping individuals achieve greater independence by focusing on the effects of injury on social, emotional, and physiological well-being.

Responsibilities

• Implement Minds Matter, LLC philosophical principles in service delivery.
• Assist individuals in identifying needs and developing compensation techniques for brain injury consequences.
• Contribute to evaluations and recommend therapy strategies.
• Integrate employment, educational, and independent living goals into therapy.
• Collaborate with consumers and professionals to track goal achievement.
• Document sessions, provide education to families, and attend trainings to stay updated.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to teach skills to individuals with disabilities.
• High sensitivity and professionalism in one-to-one interactions.
• Excellent time management, communication, and technology skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and uphold confidentiality.

Requirements

• Physically able for lifting requirements.
• Proficient in verbal, written communication, and iPad use.
• Reliable transportation and daily email and voicemail check.
