Job Description
The Data Center Operations Technician I role at Flexential is a 24x7x365 position that involves providing physical and Level II technical support to customers. This position requires a strong understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. The primary responsibilities include timely issue resolution, adherence to company policies, troubleshooting technical problems, and ensuring a professional presence during customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Provide resolution and escalation of Facility and customer issues.
- Maintain a professional attitude and conduct while on duty.
- Troubleshoot and document technical issues using a ticketing system.
- Follow company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Provide local access, escort vendors, and perform remote hands work.
- Support 24/7 operations and assist with installations of services.
- Maintain Data Center cleanliness and perform Facilities Rounds.
- Handle shipping/receiving and operate Badge Access Security System.
- Assist Critical Infrastructure Manager (CIM) and manage inventory levels.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for customer experience.
- Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail, commitment, and meeting deadlines.
- Preferably 1 year of IT Support experience.
- AA, BS, or High School Diploma.
- Network +, Security + CCNA desired; Microsoft MCP or MCSA preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders, work aloft, in cold temperatures, and lift heavy objects.
- Maneuver pallet jacks and install cabling.
