Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I role at Flexential is a 24x7x365 position that involves providing physical and Level II technical support to customers. This position requires a strong understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. The primary responsibilities include timely issue resolution, adherence to company policies, troubleshooting technical problems, and ensuring a professional presence during customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Provide resolution and escalation of Facility and customer issues.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and conduct while on duty.
  • Troubleshoot and document technical issues using a ticketing system.
  • Follow company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide local access, escort vendors, and perform remote hands work.
  • Support 24/7 operations and assist with installations of services.
  • Maintain Data Center cleanliness and perform Facilities Rounds.
  • Handle shipping/receiving and operate Badge Access Security System.
  • Assist Critical Infrastructure Manager (CIM) and manage inventory levels.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Passion for customer experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, commitment, and meeting deadlines.
  • Preferably 1 year of IT Support experience.
  • AA, BS, or High School Diploma.
  • Network +, Security + CCNA desired; Microsoft MCP or MCSA preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb ladders, work aloft, in cold temperatures, and lift heavy objects.
  • Maneuver pallet jacks and install cabling.
