Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential is a crucial role responsible for providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and internal resources. This market-based role operates in a 24x7x365 environment, ensuring prompt resolution of facility and customer issues. The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. As a Data Center Operations Technician I, you will play a key role in maintaining Flexential's operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through professional and technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely resolution and escalation of facility and customer issues.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain documentation using Flexential ticketing system.
• Follow and uphold Flexential's support and data center policies, processes, and procedures.
• Assist in physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
• Ensure cleanliness of the Data Center and surrounding areas.
• Perform facilities rounds and escalate pertinent information as needed.
• Operate and manage the badge access security system.
• Work with local management to maintain cabling and inventory levels.

Required Qualifications

• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Strong understanding of Windows and Microsoft operating systems.
• Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, commitment, and meeting deadlines.
• Preferably 1 year of experience in IT support.
• Network+, Security+, CCNA, Microsoft MCP, or MCSA certifications desired.
• Minimum education of AA, BS, or High School Diploma.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders and work aloft.
• Capability to work in cold temperature environments.
• Proficiency in maneuvering pallet jacks and lifting heavy objects.
• Aptitude in pulling and installing cabling.

Hourly Pay Range

• The estimated hourly pay range for this position is ($18.38 - $21.55), subject to candidate experience, location, and qualifications.
