Job Description

Hornblower's Seaward Services is looking for a skilled Deck Engineer to join the team of the Hornblower Wind - CTV operation in City Experiences. As a Deck Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting vessel operations through maintenance of machinery and equipment. Reporting to the Master, you will bring technical aptitude, drive, and a deep understanding of the vessel's capabilities to ensure smooth operations. In addition to your engineering responsibilities, you will also contribute to deck operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform safe and methodical tasks under the captain's guidance.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on diesel engines and various vessel machinery.
  • Support the Port Engineer in heavy machinery maintenance and repair.
  • Handle underwater machinery maintenance, vessel plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Assist with dry dock repairs and daily vessel responsibilities.
  • Participate in line handling, loading/offloading, and other operational tasks.
  • Available for a 2-week rotational schedule living onboard.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • USCG MMC with ABS endorsement.
  • Prior marine engineering experience in passenger/work boat fields or related areas.
  • Desire to learn and develop engineering knowledge.

Salary

$350/day
