Job Description
First Student, the largest school transportation provider in North America, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for its shop serving Belton, MO Public School District. Your role will involve maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety, including assisting with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and repairs. Responsibilities
- Performing preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and repairs on school buses.
- Diagnosing and conducting vehicle and equipment repairs.
- Completing work orders accurately and assisting with emergency services.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license; willingness to obtain CDL while employed.
- Minimum 1 year of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or technical school education.
- Mechanic's tool set and willingness to participate in ASE certification program.
- Subject to drug testing.
