Electrical Engineer – Automation

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join Novelis as an Automation Engineer in Guthrie, Kentucky. You will play a crucial role in managing systems engineering for automation and computer systems to ensure the safety, quality, and cost objectives of the Manufacturing Unit are met.

Responsibilities

• Work on Level I and Level II automation tasks using PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI-based platforms.
• Support electrical and automation systems maintenance including MCCs and VFDs.
• Manage projects, collaborate with various departments, and maintain engineering documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and project management experience.
• Experience with PLC systems, Allen Bradley, HMI/SCADA systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
