Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Expert Cybersecurity Analyst to join Discover Financial Services' dynamic team. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a critical role in optimizing cybersecurity program processes and output to ensure the security of our digital banking and payments systems. You will contribute to defining and promoting the strategic direction of the Cybersecurity program while managing and responding to audit findings, control deficiencies, and emerging risks. Additionally, you will engage in developing risk management strategies, coordinating issue remediation efforts, and fostering a culture of effective risk awareness and management within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Deliver reports and presentations to leadership, the Board of Directors, and external entities.
- Ensure Program compliance with audit, regulatory, and legal requirements.
- Define and promote the strategic direction of the Cybersecurity program.
- Support oversight and management of Cybersecurity audit findings and risk issues.
- Develop strategic partnerships with auditors and regulators to enhance Cybersecurity efforts.
- Manage regulatory and audit findings, remediate threat and risk issues, and review evidence for completeness.
- Lead data analytics, metrics development, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Translate regulatory requirements and business needs into security controls and recommend remediation strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Analytics, Business, or Project Management.
- 8+ years of experience in Information Security, Information Technology, Business, Analytics, or Project Management, or related fields.
- Technical proficiency rating of expert on the Dreyfus cybersecurity scale for internal applicants.
Preferred Qualifications
- CISM, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, or CISSP certifications.
