Job Description
Discover Financial Services is seeking an Expert Enterprise Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Technical Architect at Discover, you will be responsible for developing technology strategies and future state architectures that enable value streams and product teams to deliver industry-differentiating solutions. Your role will involve combining deep technical domain understanding with a broad view of organizational concerns including business acumen, security, compliance, and product delivery. Responsibilities
- Develop technology strategies and architectures for value streams and product teams.
- Actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues.
- Serve as a technical thought leader across product areas.
- Lead technical strategy for the enterprise and demonstrate expert knowledge in multiple technical areas.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Software Development, Engineering, or Technical Architecture.
- Internal applicants must have a technical proficiency rating of expert on the Dreyfus architecture scale.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture methods (e.g., TOGAF).
- Experience using Enterprise Architecture modeling tools (e.g., LeanIX, Ardoq, Bizzdesign, etc).
- Experience with modern architectures, digital, and cloud solutions.
- Experience leading large architecture program initiatives.
