Job Description
Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. Health is currently seeking Front Desk Patient Registrars to join our Behavioral Health department. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and support. This position requires strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, including availability for late afternoon/evening and some Saturday shifts.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them to ensure a positive experience at the Health Center.
- Answer incoming calls, screen and forward calls efficiently, and schedule appointments as needed.
- Accurately input and update patient information, schedule follow-up appointments, and handle referrals.
- Collect payments, verify insurance details, and ensure all necessary documentation is complete.
- Work collaboratively with patients to address inquiries about health insurance, billing, and scheduling.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical office setting is advantageous.
- Proficiency in computer usage, with familiarity in electronic medical records systems.
- Preference for candidates fluent in English, Spanish, and/or Portuguese.
