Join Hornblower as a Kitchen Assistant in Boston, MA. We are looking for an adaptable and dynamic individual to be part of our team, embodying our RESPECT Service System. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical competence in food preparation, contribute to general galley operations, and ensure a hospitable environment for coworkers and guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion food items according to production requirements and sanitation standards.
• Cook meals based on daily worksheets and standardized recipes.
• Follow proper food handling procedures and maintain food quality and freshness.
• Keep work areas clean, sanitized, and organized.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
• Complete required training and follow safety policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least one year of previous kitchen experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be energetic, enthusiastic, and able to take direction.
• Effective communication skills with coworkers and guests.
• Service-oriented with a focus on helping others.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding and warm environment.
• Able to lift and move heavy items.
• Available to work on all major holidays and meet minimum age requirements.
