Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Problem Management Specialist to join Discover Financial Services. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the life-cycle of assigned Corporate Risk Management Problems, identifying root causes, minimizing future impacts, and documenting resolutions. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure timely problem resolution and maintain accurate documentation.


  • Manage the life-cycle and coordination of actions for assigned Problems.
  • Challenge root cause analysis, coordinate issue resolution, and implement preventative measures.
  • Maintain inventory of problems and track progress in ServiceNow.
  • Identify and propose process improvements.
  • Mentor Service Support Specialists if assigned.


  • Associate’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Mathematics, Analytics, or Statistics.
  • 4+ years of experience in Consumer Banking Call Center Operations or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant areas.
  • 1+ years of risk management or people management experience.

The base pay ranges from $75,500.00 to $127,900.00 with additional incentives based on various factors.
