Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Vocational Instruction Project Community Services Inc. In this role, you will work under the direction of the Nurse Manager to provide nursing care that ensures our clients receive optimal, quality, and cost-effective care.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism, cooperation, and respect in all interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Administer medication following policy and procedures.
• Observe clients for signs of intoxication or medication side effects.
• Maintain accurate medication records and client medical documentation.
• Assist clients in following prescribed care plans.
• Perform nursing duties within the scope of practice.
• Participate in educational programs, meetings, and professional development seminars.

Requirements

• Current NYS LPN License and Infection Control Certificate.
• Minimum of one year experience as an LPN, preferably in a substance abuse treatment program.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
• Proficiency with computers and ability to fulfill essential job functions.
