Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is currently seeking a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team for evening shifts. As an LPN, you will be responsible for assisting in the direction of nursing services, observing patient conditions, and providing quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall in compliance with the Nursing Practice Act.
• Delegate duties and monitor the performance of nursing personnel.
• Observe patients for symptoms or adverse changes and notify the attending physician when necessary.
• Implement physician's orders and assist during emergencies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Graduated Licensed Practical Nurse from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Willingness to work as charge nurses and during emergencies.
• Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and have an interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certification required annually.
• Attend required in-service training and staff meetings.
