Job Description
GENESYS Health Alliance is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Effingham County Sheriff's Office / Correctional Institution in Springfield, Georgia. As a correctional nurse, you will be responsible for providing care and treatments to detainees, administering medications, and ensuring the health and safety of individuals in a correctional setting. Responsibilities
- Provide patient treatments and medical care as ordered by licensed medical providers.
- Administer medications and document administration according to procedures.
- Carry out nursing care plans prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Ensure the security and safety of the medical area and medications during administration.
Requirements
- Graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of employment or ability to obtain license.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts including day and mid shifts.
