Responsibilities

• Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Delegate duties to nursing personnel and monitor work performance.
• Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, reporting to the attending physician as needed.
• Implement physician orders and respond to emergencies effectively.
• Perform additional assigned duties to maintain patient care standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current NC Board of Nursing license with biennial renewals.
• Willingness to take on charge nurse responsibilities and work in emergencies.
• Ability to deliver quality patient care, follow medical instructions, and specialize in geriatric nursing.
• Yearly CPR certification and attendance at mandatory in-service training and staff meetings.
