LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE - THE OAKS

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) to join our team at The Oaks, a part of Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. This is a full-time position working nights from 7 pm to 7 am. As an LPN, you will be responsible for assisting in directing nursing services, delegating duties, observing patients for changes, and providing quality nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Delegate duties to nursing personnel and monitor their performance.
• Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, and notify physicians of any emergencies or changes.
• Implement changes in orders as instructed by physicians.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Hold a current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Willingness to work as a charge nurse and during emergencies.
• Ability to provide quality nursing care, follow doctors’ orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
