Job Description
The Animal Medical Center of Seattle, WA is looking for a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency and ICU team. We provide effective and timely support for the staff veterinarians, work closely with clients, patients, and staff members, and ensure the highest quality nursing care under the guidance of veterinarians. Additionally, we offer up to a $3,000 Hiring Bonus for Licensed Veterinary Technicians and Experienced Veterinary Assistants joining our team.
Responsibilities
- Restrains and lifts patients.
- Assists in various patient procedures in cardiology, surgery, radiology, critical care, and emergency medicine, including anesthesia.
- Maintains patient comfort and cleanliness.
- Administers drugs, provides patient monitoring, and performs treatments under veterinary direction.
- Communicates effectively with clients, gathers patient information, and updates clients on their pets' status.
- Performs laboratory work, radiographs, and other technical tasks as required.
- Maintains a clean and organized working environment.
- Participates in continuing education and staff meetings.
Requirements
- AA degree or BA/BS degree from an accredited veterinary technician program.
- Minimum of two years of experience in critical care or emergency veterinary medicine.
- Licensed technician or eligible for licensing in Washington state.
- Ability to handle fast-paced and stressful environments with professionalism.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Compensation
- Salary range: $30 - $40 per hour, with Veterinary Technician Specialists starting at $40 per hour.
