Job Description
We are currently looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Effingham County Sheriff's Office / Correctional Institution in Springfield, Georgia. As a part of GENESYS Health Alliance, a leading provider of healthcare services in correctional settings, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality care to detainees and contribute to our mission of serving the underserved population.
Responsibilities
- Administer routine and emergency medical care to detainees.
- Treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
- Provide patient treatments as prescribed by medical providers.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure the safety and security of the medical area and medications.
- Perform initial and ongoing screenings of individuals in a correctional setting.
- Communicate treatment protocols and procedures to patients.
Requirements
- Graduation from a nationally accredited LPN program.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of employment.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts, including day and mid shifts.
- Previous experience in correctional nursing preferred.
- Capability to obtain security clearance and pass necessary background checks.
