Job Description: Mechanic

Holland Pump Company is a leading provider of rentals, sales, and services for the portable pumping and vacuum loader industry, serving various sectors such as municipal, industrial, petrochemical, construction, marine, and mining. With a focus on superior customer service and top-notch equipment like the Gorman Rupp pump and Industrial Vacuum line, we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Rebuild pump ends and perform light diesel engine repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and servicing on fleet equipment.
• Provide on-site repairs or services at customer locations.
• Diagnose damages, create parts lists, and obtain repair approvals.
• Test and ensure proper operation and quality of repaired equipment.
• Assist with equipment setup at customer job sites and deliver equipment as needed.
• Respond to after-hours customer service calls on a rotation basis.

Required Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
• Basic hand tools proficiency.
• Preferred equipment rental experience.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of equipment repair, diagnostics, and maintenance techniques.
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with diesel engine components and safety procedures.

Abilities and Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow directions.
• Effective communication and legible handwriting.
• Safe operation of forklifts and hand tools.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions

Work environment includes inside and outside locations, exposure to various weather conditions, loud noises, and machinery with moving parts. Flexibility for extended hours may be required.
