Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Anderson County Detention Center in Anderson, South Carolina. As a Mental Health Clinician at GENESYS Health Alliance, you will be responsible for evaluating and providing mental health services to the inmate population, maintaining professional knowledge of company policies and procedures, and serving as an example of behavior, attitude, and skills for other staff members.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a Mental Health-related discipline.
- Licensure in South Carolina as a LCSW, LMHC, LMSW, or LPC.
- Four years of experience directing or supervising therapeutic staff preferred.
- Active BLS Healthcare Provider/CPR Certification.
Responsibilities
- Correctional experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain security clearance, including drug screen and background check.
Shift
- Full-time position with 12-hour shifts, including day and night shifts.
General Duties
- Excellent problem-solving skills and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of counseling and therapeutic techniques.
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple issues in stressful situations.
- Provide necessary counseling, assess psychosocial needs, collaborate with disciplines, and facilitate patient progress and referrals.
