Mobile Mechanic

Job Description

At Alpha Transport, we are seeking a skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a Mobile Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing our equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Conduct major and minor repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair air and electrical systems.
• Handle minor diesel engine repairs.
• Manage suspension, brake systems, and component repairs.
• Provide tire maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Travel between markets as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified diesel mechanic.
• Must own tools and be DOT certified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience as a certified diesel mechanic.
• Welding experience.
• CDL Class A driver's license.
