Job Description
University Gastroenterology LLC is seeking a full-time GI Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Providence, RI. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing quality care independently and collaboratively with our physician team at Miriam Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality care while adhering to practice policies and safety regulations.
- Conduct patient consultations, diagnose health issues, and provide treatment recommendations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for inpatient and outpatient care.
- Manage and coordinate inpatient endoscopic procedures.
- Order and interpret tests, administer medications, and provide after-care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with practice EHR systems and Lifespan Epic preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
