Job Description
We are looking for Part-Time Companion Caregivers to join our Bishop Gadsden at Home Department team. As a Companion Caregiver, you will provide in-home support to clients, focusing on promoting independence and social well-being. This position requires compassion and a desire to work with the elderly.
Job Type: Part-Time/Flexible shifts available for afternoons/evenings (3pm-11pm)
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living
- Provide light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Transport clients and accompany them to appointments and activities
- Adhere to infection control precautions
- Document client care accurately
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1 year of companion or caregiver experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel within Charleston County
