Part-Time Registered Nurse - Jefferson County Youth Residential Program

Job Description

We are looking for a Part-Time Registered Nurse to join the Jefferson County Youth Residential Program at Wisconsin Community Services. As a registered nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring the physical and mental health needs of the youth residing in the Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility.

Responsibilities

• Set up weekly medications and monitor the need for refills.
• Assess youth's physical and mental health needs during walk-in times.
• Schedule and accompany youth to medical appointments.
• Provide consultation with medical providers regarding concerns.
• Facilitate health education groups with youth.

Qualifications

• A 2-year degree from an accredited Nursing School.
• Registered nurse licensure and 1-2 years of nursing experience with youth.
• Good clinical skills, ability to communicate effectively, and respond in crisis situations.

Work Environment

This position reports to the Assistant Program Director and works closely with the leadership team and youth coordinators. The work is primarily at the YCSF, supporting youth with mental health needs, with an average of at least 8 hours per week.
