Job Description
We are looking for a talented Product Owner to join Discover Financial Services in the role of Product Owner for the Card Posting & Billing Platform and Aggregator team. In this position, you will collaborate with both Business and Technology teams to drive key initiatives across Discover Card. This role requires a strong technical understanding, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure the successful delivery of the product vision and modernization roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure products meet business and customer requirements.
- Align with the product vision, features, and roadmap through collaboration and leveraging key insights and data.
- Establish KPIs and OKRs, maintain product documentation, and define product requirements and testing criteria.
- Build and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with OKRs and quality standards.
- Collaborate with technology teams to optimize system components and infrastructure maintenance.
- Foster a culture of accountability and ownership within the product team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Product, Business, Technical, or related roles.
- Understanding of agile principles and experience with agile tools like Jira.
- Experience with process management tools such as IBM Blueworks Live is a plus.
