Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Wisconsin Community Services. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the physical and mental health needs of youth at the Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility. Your duties will include setting up medications, assessing health needs, scheduling appointments, and providing medical support to both the youth and staff. Additionally, you will be required to maintain accurate records and collaborate with medical professionals as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Set up weekly medications and monitor refills.
  • Assess the physical and mental health needs of youth through individual meetings.
  • Coordinate medical appointments and accompany youth when necessary.
  • Document all interactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide medical support and guidance to staff as required.
  • Facilitate health education groups with youth.
  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

  • 2-year degree from an accredited Nursing School.
  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • 1-2 years of nursing experience with youth.
  • Good clinical and communication skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively in crisis situations.

Additional Information

This position reports to the Assistant Program Director and involves close collaboration with the leadership team, youth coordinators, and medical professionals in the community. The role requires adherence to agency policies, ethical conduct, and a commitment to the well-being of our youth.
