Job Description

Responsibilities
- Assure quality nursing care by following physician's orders, state and federal regulations, and facility policies.
- Administer medications as prescribed and according to facility policies.
- Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies.
- Assist physicians with rounds and care for patients during examinations and treatments.
- Perform treatments, maintain infection control measures, and assist with research on nursing care quality.
- Assist with admissions, scheduling patient physicals, and documentation.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a current RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Provide quality nursing care, adhere to regulations, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- Annual CPR certification and participation in required in-service training and staff meetings.
- Ability to supervise nursing assistants, work collaboratively, and make informed decisions in patient care.
