Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Denver Health. In this role, you will be a vital part of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a specialized 26-bed unit providing care to approximately 350 newborns per year. As an RN in the NICU, you will work closely with a dedicated interprofessional team to deliver high-quality care to our young patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assess the needs of newborns, families, and communities to identify health issues.
- Maintain detailed records of patient care and conditions.
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms and vital signs.
- Develop and modify patient care plans based on responses and conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care to patients.
- Instruct patients and families on health education and aftercare.
- Administer medications and document treatment procedures.
- Promote a positive patient experience through compassionate care.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
- Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR and RN licenses are mandatory.
- Familiarity with professional nursing standards and practices.
- Ability to use medical equipment effectively and maintain positive patient relationships.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
