Responsibilities
- Assure quality nursing care by following physician’s orders and facility policies.
- Administer medications as ordered and per facility protocols.
- Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies.
- Assist physicians during rounds and treatments.
- Perform scheduled treatments and maintain infection control measures.
- Adhere to cleanliness and infection control regulations.
- Assist in research related to nursing care quality.
- Support new admissions unit/hall assessments and scheduling.
Requirements
- Graduated Registered Nurse from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current, valid North Carolina Board of Nursing license.
- Genuine interest in geriatric nursing and providing quality care.
- Yearly CPR certification.
- Ability to supervise and work smoothly with nursing personnel and other departments.
- Decisiveness in nursing problem-solving with patient-centered focus.
