Job Description
We are hiring for the position of Residential Counselor/ Direct Care at Marsh Creek, with CareLink Community Support Services in Downingtown, PA. This role involves providing consumer care for transition age individuals, assisting with therapeutic activities, documentation, and promoting independence. Responsibilities
- Participate in developing individualized service plans and treatment activities.
- Teach, evaluate, and supervise consumers in various daily living skills.
- Document consumer progress and interactions accurately.
- Assist and supervise social and recreational activities.
- Monitor consumer needs and supplies, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Coordinate emergency procedures and respond effectively in crisis situations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of work experience in a similar role.
- Valid Driver’s License; CPRP/RPRP Certification preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work empathetically with individuals with disabilities.
