Job Description
We are looking for a Restaurant and F&B Supervisor to join the team at Holiday Inn Charlottesville VA. As a key member of the F&B department, you will play a vital role in ensuring top-notch customer service and the smooth operation of the restaurant and bar areas. Your responsibilities will include overseeing staff, maintaining venue standards, ensuring timely service, and upholding health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the bars and ensure timely opening and readiness for business.
- Maintain high front of house service standards, manage staff allocation and support throughout shifts.
- Ensure adherence to restaurant standards, address any issues promptly, and maintain cleanliness.
- Coordinate with the Head Chef for seamless operation and service quality.
- Complete daily paperwork and monitor venue standards throughout the shift.
- Monitor stock levels, assist in stock control, and ensure accurate delivery checks.
- Provide guidance and training to restaurant staff, including induction and ongoing coaching.
- Maintain health and safety standards, including cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be over 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a restaurant or bar setting is essential.
- Knowledge of ABC laws and experience with cash handling.
- Ability to work with financial information, basic math skills, and computer literacy.
Physical and Mental Requirements
The role involves standing for long periods, lifting, bending, and working in varied environments. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and composure under pressure are necessary.
