Senior Hydrogeologist

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Hydrogeologist to join our California team at Montgomery & Associates. This full-time position, based in Monterey or Oakland, involves managing and providing technical oversight for various hydrogeology and groundwater resources projects. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals across multiple offices, focusing on sustainable groundwater management initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to hydrogeology projects including SGMA implementation
• Design predictive models, develop hydrogeologic conceptual models, and manage monitoring programs
• Interact with regulatory agencies, prepare technical reports, and deliver technical proposals
• Mentor junior staff, manage client relationships, and participate in professional organizations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in hydrology, geology, or engineering (graduate degree preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in environmental and water resources consulting
• Knowledge of California water laws, groundwater modeling, and SGMA projects
• Professional registration (P.G. or P.E.) and strong technical writing skills

• Estimated annualized compensation including bonuses: $122,000 - $151,000
