Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist

Job Description

Join our team at S&C Electric Company as a Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist. In this role, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. You will be responsible for conducting audits, providing guidance, and developing and implementing programs to enhance safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate health, safety, and environmental training.
• Maintain compliance documents and records.
• Interact with multiple departments to meet safety objectives.
• Conduct facility audits and inspections.
• Provide oversight for safety programs and procedures.
• Analyze environmental samples and monitoring data.
• Review contractor health and safety plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated performance in safety and environmental functions.
• Strong communication and training skills.
• Incident investigation expertise.
• Willingness to travel and work off-hours occasionally.

Qualifications

• OHST, ASP, or CSP certifications preferred.

Physical Demands

• Travel to various locations for inspections.
• Engage in physical activities and work after hours as needed.
• Use computers and office equipment frequently.
