Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist to join S&C Electric Company's Global Health, Safety & Environmental team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting a culture of safety across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct health, safety & environmental training for team members.
• Refine existing programs and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Track and evaluate regulatory changes and their impact on company operations.
• Collaborate with various departments to achieve safety & environmental objectives.
• Perform facility audits, inspections, and provide guidance for safety programs.
• Analyze environmental samples and monitor compliance with regulations.
• Review contractor safety plans and ensure mitigation strategies are in place.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering/Science, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in incident investigation, risk assessment, and training delivery.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work off hours as needed.
• Experience with Health, Safety & Environmental data management software is a plus.

Qualifications

• OHST, ASP, or CSP certifications are desirable.

• Computer proficiency and ability to support on-call duties are required.
