Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Senior Special Procedure Tech to join Corewell Health's dynamic team. In this role, you will provide direct care to patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures, assisting physicians and ensuring high-quality patient-centered care throughout pre, intra, and post-procedures. The position may involve IV starts, patient preparation, hemodynamic monitoring, equipment operation, procedure documentation, vascular access site management, and patient/family education.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients during invasive procedures, providing technical support and quality care.
- Perform and document hemodynamic/physiologic wave forms and calculations as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with team members, physicians, patients, and families while upholding Corewell Health Standards.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment and maintain radiation safety standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide training to less experienced technicians.
- For IR, perform 1st assisting using sterile technique and participate in various imaging and procedures. For Cath Lab, handle different specialized interventions.
- Ensure compliance with education, training, and certification requirements.
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited programs with several years of specialized experience.
- Hold relevant certifications such as BLS, ACLS, RCES, RCIS, or RT.
- Demonstrate proficiency in necessary clinical skills and possess excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Additional qualifications may be required depending on the department.
