Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Special Procedure Tech to join Corewell Health, a leading healthcare provider in Southeast Michigan. As a Senior Special Procedure Tech, you will be responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures, assisting physicians, and delivering quality patient-centered care throughout the process. Your role will involve performing IV starts, monitoring hemodynamics, operating equipment, documenting procedures, managing vascular access sites, and educating patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor patients during invasive procedures, providing technical support and quality care.
- Record and analyze hemodynamic/physiologic waveforms.
- Communicate effectively with team members, physicians, patients, and families.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on technical equipment.
- Maintain radiation safety standards for staff and patients.
- Participate in On Call duties as per department schedule.
- Provide training and support to less experienced techs.
- Participate in specialized procedures as required for each department.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiography or Cardiovascular Technology.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, or EP Lab.
- Valid BLS, ACLS, and RT-CV/VI or RCES/RCIS/RT certification.
- Strong communication, computer, and customer service skills.
- Ability to respond promptly to on-site duties within the specified time frame.
