Job Description
The Server at Silver Diner is a crucial team member responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality to guests, driving sales, and ensuring accurate food & beverage service. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in upholding our brand standards and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding service by greeting guests promptly, ensuring order accuracy, and suggestive selling.
- Accurately handle POS functions and payments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station following Silver Diner standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver a seamless dining experience.
Brand Delivery
- Adhere to uniform standards and SMG scoring criteria.
- Consistently embody the Silver Diner brand values and culture.
Cost Balancing
- Ensure accurate accounting for sales and proper cash handling.
- Follow portion control guidelines for self-service items.
Other Duties & Tasks
- Complete assigned side work and additional tasks as assigned by management.
Performance Measures
- Drive positive sales growth and maintain guest satisfaction.
- Establish strong guest relationships resulting in repeat business.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a Server or Bartender preferred.
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly and energetic demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and communicate effectively.
- Must meet schedule requirements, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
This role involves working in a physically demanding environment with exposure to various kitchen equipment and requires the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
