Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join our team at Northwest Hospital as an Inpatient Psychiatric Social Worker. This part-time position involves providing psychosocial assessment, discharge planning, and support to patients receiving inpatient psychiatric services. The role requires leveraging knowledge of community and healthcare resources to address individual needs and ensure quality care throughout the treatment process.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate psychosocial assessment and discharge planning for inpatient psychiatric patients.
- Provide leadership and psychosocial support to address individual needs.
- Utilize knowledge of community and healthcare resources to assist patients during and after treatment.
- Facilitate quality resource utilization and appropriate interventions.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, or relevant field.
- Maryland Social Work licensure (LMSW required, LCSW-C preferred, LGPC/LCPC license considered).
- Previous social work experience.
- Demonstrated professional knowledge and experience in the field.
