Job Description

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our EC2 Networking team at Amazon Web Services. As part of this newly formed team, you will lead a group contributing to a groundbreaking project aimed at enhancing network analysis capabilities within EC2 while providing essential control and distribution plane services that facilitate vital network connectivity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers, mentoring junior members, and ensuring adherence to best development practices.
  • Participate in architecture decisions, design reviews, and implementation.
  • Stay current with technological advancements to drive innovation within the team.
  • Collaborate with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements, define features, and outline product strategy.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in at least one software programming language
  • Experience in leading design or architecture of systems
  • Prior mentoring or leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of full software development life cycle
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
