Job Description
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our EC2 Networking team at Amazon Web Services. As part of this newly formed team, you will lead a group contributing to a groundbreaking project aimed at enhancing network analysis capabilities within EC2 while providing essential control and distribution plane services that facilitate vital network connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers, mentoring junior members, and ensuring adherence to best development practices.
- Participate in architecture decisions, design reviews, and implementation.
- Stay current with technological advancements to drive innovation within the team.
- Collaborate with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements, define features, and outline product strategy.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language
- Experience in leading design or architecture of systems
- Prior mentoring or leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
