Salary: $134,500 - $261,500/year
Amazon Web Services is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to lead a newly formed EC2 Networking team. In this role, you will contribute to a new business initiative focusing on empowering rapid analysis for peta-scale EC2 network and providing highly available control & distribution plane services for critical network connectivity in EC2. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of cloud computing, working on game-changing improvements that benefit internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small engineering team, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring best development practices.
- Participate in architecture decisions, designs, code reviews, and implementation.
- Continuously update technical knowledge and explore new technologies.
- Collaborate with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements and drive product features.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in at least one language.
- Experience in leading design and architecture of systems.
- Prior experience as a mentor or leading an engineering team.
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
