Job Description
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our newly formed EC2 Networking team at Amazon Web Services. In this role, you will lead a team working on empowering rapid analysis for peta-scale EC2 networks and providing highly available control and distribution plane services.
Responsibilities
- Mentoring junior engineers and ensuring the implementation of the right development practices.
- Leading architecture decisions, participating in designs, code reviews, and implementations.
- Maintaining technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology and identifying opportunities for innovation.
- Communicating with users, technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements and describe software features.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in programming with at least one software language.
- Leadership experience in design, architecture, and mentoring roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
