Job Description
We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to join our dynamic team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. This full-time position focuses on pioneering cloud computing technologies within the EC2 Networking team. As a key team member, you will lead a group contributing to empowering rapid analysis for peta-scale EC2 network and delivering highly available control & distribution plane services.
Responsibilities
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to best development practices.
- Take a hands-on approach in managing development activities, leading architecture decisions, and participating in designs and reviews.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving technologies, explore new tech opportunities, and collaborate with management to introduce innovations.
- Engage with users, technical teams, and senior management to gather requirements, define product features, and outline technical strategies.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience without internships.
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language, with 5+ years of experience.
- Experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Previous mentoring or tech lead role.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle involvement.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
