Job Description:
Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join the EC2 Networking team as a key contributor to a new business initiative. As a Senior SDE for VPC, you will lead a team working on critical network services, empowering rapid analysis for peta-scale EC2 networks and enhancing control plane services.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the right development practices are followed.
- Be hands-on in managing development activities, including architecture decisions, designs, code reviews, and implementation.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and explore new technologies for implementation.
- Collaborate with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements, define features, and shape product strategy.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in programming with at least one software language and leading design/architecture of systems.
- Previous mentorship, tech lead, or team leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
